Santander Bank in Spain announces a new benefit for pensioners

Santander, one of the most renowned banking institutions in the country, has announced on its official website the special services it offers to retirees in Spain as part of its Seniors program.

As part of this program, the bank offers a number of privileges to its customers over 65 years old, so that they can carry out their transactions quickly and efficiently, as well as other benefits.

What benefits does Santander offer to seniors?

As part of the Santander Seniors program, the bank offers its Spanish customers aged 65 and over a personalized telephone service 24 hours a day, seven days a week, without the need to use an "intermediate automated system".

In addition, the bank explained on its website that it has an agreement with Correos Cash, thanks to which retirees who have reached the minimum age required by the program can easily and conveniently carry out their cash transactions.

On this last point, Santander emphasized that these populations will be able to make an appointment with a bank manager to visit branches and access extended cashier hours at branches until 2:00 pm.

On the other hand, like many Spanish institutions, the financial company offers early payment of pensions from the 25th of each month.

When does Santander pay pensions in February?

Keep in mind that in February 2024, the bank will credit pensions and benefits from Friday the 23rd.

Insurance for pensioners offered by Santander

The bank also offers several types of special insurance for elderly customers for emergencies or accidents. These include the following:

  •  Dependents Insurance;
  •  Death insurance with a single premium;
  •  Senior Citizens Protection Insurance;
  •  My Home Insurance for the elderly.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that the financial institution offers accident insurance that covers compensation for accidents, domestic help (companionship, house cleaning, shopping, errands and meal preparation) and sessions with medical professionals.
